Officers quickly realized there were a lot of people to interview because he was such a social person.

Most of the, uh, information that we gathered, you know, during the investigation was Artie was kind of like a, like a good friend to a lot of people, and, uh, he traveled around to Ericana, to Beiseker, to Langdon, to south to Carsland, to Delmede.

That whole area kinda, Artie would kind of drop in and, uh, visit with people, uh, have coffee.

He was a great coffee-er.

And he would remember everybody's, uh, children's birth dates and stuff.

So he was always, uh, kind of like, uh, the uncle that maybe a lot of people never had.

And so he was always traveling around to, you know, markets and stuff like that, purchasing stuff so that he could give the stuff away to, to, uh, various, uh, children as he went along on his travels.

Instead, they continued through their long list of interviews with Artie's family and friends.
