The current system still falls short.

So on one side, the government disclosures does not meet, uh, the openness, transparency.

We haven't come into a single place that we want.

There's, like, 24 different sites that these are placed in, and it's in different formats.

It's very hard to search, and we had an external look to see how people can correlate.

And on the other side, the consultant, register of consultant lobbyists only captures about four to six percent of the lobbying that goes on affecting government decision-making.

And we, we understand your work very well and, as you know, we, we've worked in partnership in the past and we'll continue to work in partnership as we go forward.

Indeed, we are, um, as we speak.

Um, as, um, Ruth just, uh, mentioned, we are, uh, one of the changes that's taken place under this government.

And the EIC was set up in October 2025, um, in line with a manifesto pledge, uh, that had been made.

And as touched on, we built on CSPL, which had been around for just over 30 years.

Um, but I'm also very aware that, that the body, you know, in, in the guise of CSPL, carried out work on leadership and on embedding ethical cultures, um, across the public sector.
