The joint standards of practice is the minimum standard of care that the signatory organizations expect out of their members and or certificates, right? So educational bodies that are signatories are expected to teach to that standard, whereas we would hold our members and our certificates to those standards in practice.

And so what we are looking for is to self-regulate in an unregulated industry and to ensure that our practitioners are meeting this minimum level of standards.

So that is why it gets a little confusing when you're talking about the joint standards of practice.

So When you are certified by the IABC, we ensure that through the certification process, there are no violations of those standards within your certification.
