Doris WangGUEST
I came here, um, you know, when I was applying for MD-PhD programs because of the strength of the neuroscience community and, uh, I think in the back of my mind also the strength of the neurosurgery clinical training program.

Doris WangGUEST
Um, it just, you know, I felt immediately at home the first time I set foot on the campus just talking to the, the, the faculty that had the breadth and width, um, breadth and depth of investigating the nervous system from very a- every aspect, ro- from the basic molecular mechanism, cellular mechanism to systems neuroscience.

Doris WangGUEST
And I think more so than, you know, what's available in terms of research topics, it's just a sense of collaboration and how as an institution the, the community has just everybody wants to push the science forward.

Doris WangGUEST
Um, you know, fewer, like, of these big egos and, and people just really want to collaborate and work together.

Doris WangGUEST
Um, so that really drove me to, you know, sign up for UCSF for my MD-PhD program.
