Put that number in perspective for us.
1:22
Yeah.
1:22
Well, I should clarify, I've gotta double check the spreadsheet this morning, but we, we, if we didn't hit it last night when the system broke, uh, we're gonna hit it today.
1:29
I'm confident of it.
1:30
Where that puts us, though, I mean, you know, that's 800,000, you know, doors that we've been on over the last, you know, since March, and what we're finding now, 20 days out, is, you know, folks are voting early.
1:43
We're 10 days in on early vote.
1:44
Uh, folks are locking in their votes, making up their minds.
5:57
Hmm
4:26
But this feigned brother-in-law, right? Uh, what does your toolkit put in my hands?
4:34
Well, one of the things that it does, and I encourage you to go there, 'cause on the website, fightsocialism.com, we have some of the top things that they, they believe the socialists are advocating for, and some of the ways to push back against it.
4:45
You know, uh, on the topic of capitalism, uh, you know, one of the things we point out here is they'll say, "Hey, you know, cap- uh, healthcare costs," right? You know, "The cap- healthcare is a capitalist enterprise, and it's why our healthcare keeps going up, because the insurance companies, dang insurance companies, are just trying to push a profit margin in, in their bottom line." Uh, what I point out is I'd agree, first off.
5:05
Yes, uh, that is part of the problem, right? That these, these corporations, these companies are pushing the prices up.
5:11
But the reason they're doing that is because of this government interference through a little thing called the Unaffordable Care Act.
5:16
If you remember that, it's where the government forced everybody to become consumers of the health insurance industry, rather than empowering people to go out and make their own decisions on their healthcare, right? And so the solution to this problem isn't to put more government in control of our healthcare decision-making.
5:33
It's actually embracing policies like health savings accounts, right? Which allow people to put their money into an account-
7:22
Uh, what happens on that call, and how do people get on it?
15:18
Yeah
15:18
... healthcare space, right? People want...
15:21
I- it's an interesting...
15:22
I mean, it's not too surprising, right? People wanna make sure that, you know, you know, senior citizens, uh, young kids, folks who need healthcare, folks who, who, who, you know, are somehow fall through the cracks are taken care of.
15:35
But at the same time, they look around and they hear these reports, and they, they read the news and see these programs are, are broken.
15:42
They're not serving the people they need to serve.
15:44
They're serving fraudsters and, uh, you know, folks who, you know, haven't paid a dime into a system that was designed to protect the folks, uh, who, you know, were investing in it and supporting it.
16:38
What do my listeners need to do?
0:01
Well, you know, one of the things that we launched a few years ago is our Buckeye Blue Grant.
0:04
That's our plan to move Ohio from middle in the Midwest to number one in the nation.
0:09
We've taken a really, you know, our team, staff and activist supporters have taken a really serious look at what it's going to take to do that here in Ohio.
0:18
Great states like Florida, right? There's a reason.
0:20
It's called the Free State of Florida.
0:22
And it's not because folks are just hanging out, enjoying the beaches.

19 MINS LATER

19:54
But what are some of the things, what are the totality of the things that you guys are working on in Ohio to try to make people's lives better?
20:02
Well, you know, one of the things that we launched a few years ago is our Buckeye Blueprint.
