Uh, but you know, it, it's strange because, um, parents want our schools to give their kids, uh, information and tools to, uh, uh, to navigate growing up, um, and, and, and being, uh, adults, emerging adults, teens in our society.

And the only sex ed that is required in the schools is HIV/AIDS education.

That invariably includes sex, some sex education, but it's not nearly what is necessary, and it's time for New York to pass legislation, uh, there's the Healthy Students, Healthy Schools Act before the state legislature, to require sex ed in all schools with standards.

Not with a script, but with standards so that sex ed is accurate-

... that, that needs to be acknowledged and, and dealt with.

You know, it's not, um, uh, you know, politicians have a way of, of dealing with situations that is kind of, um, you know, black or white.
