Mm.

He did this in Minnesota, uh, Texas, and he, he did it 12 different, uh, we did it 12 different places a year.

He retired, and then I took over his part.

And, uh, the program he put together, I liked it a lot.

But these bankers were just so thirsty to hear things.

And it's not necessarily just the SEAL community, the military community, spec ops community especially.

When they just heard some of the ways we did things, and I'm definitely here to say the way we did things, it wasn't perfect by any means.

So let me ask you, how, how like you personally, how, how do you take these principles, these, you know, the, the SEAL ethos, the, the principles of leadership that you're talking about? How did you apply them to your new career, which is, you know, your writing, your speaking, all, all of the other things you're doing?

... quit doing what they were doing, they joined the military, and so did his sister.

So my grandparents had four stars on their door.

And when there would be a show or a special on with military people losing their lives or killed, my father would really have tears going down his eyes.

He was very sensitive, but especially when it came to vets.

So this rubbed off on me, I know, and I'm glad it did.

So, so when I went to see that Marine Corps recruiter, not knowing anything about the military, believe it or not, I had no right to be, but I wasn't impressed by this guy.

I was in such pain.

I was just sweating.

So I thought all I need to do is take a bath.

But I couldn't walk anymore because my ankles were so swollen just from months of pounding without a break.

And I passed out in the hallway.

And then I woke up in Balboa Navy Hospital on the bed.

What happened? Because I'm unaware of what happened nine years ago.

But I have to ask you, Because I'm dying to know, as a combat medic, was it a good thing or a bad thing that your nickname was Dr. Death?

I've been asked that a lot of times.

Well, you know, so, well, first, I have to say, and this is given a lot of credit, well-deserved credit for the generation after mine.

And I don't want to discredit the people in my generation, but I had an easy career.

I had an easy career.

I was at Team 1, Team 2, and Team 6.

I spent 21 years in the Navy.

And discipline along with mission, along with commitment is the name of the game.
