... which I thought was super cool.

Um, but I wasn't, I wasn't like drawn to music necessarily as I was just, like, tinkering around at that point, and that was in sixth grade.

Um, and I had started band.

Um, and I played French horn in band, and I was neither very good nor very bad, which means I sat, like, right in the middle, right in front of the conductor.

And then one day in seventh grade, the next year, in band class, instead of having band class, we had a, uh, a guest artist, a performer, a, a flamenco guitar player named Ronald Radford.

And I was, you know, seated just by dint of my mediocrity on the French horn maybe four, five, six feet away from him, and I'd never seen anything like that.

I just

started going back and buying his records.

And I don't remember if there was a particular order, if I bought Get Happy first or whatever.

But I bought this one and this is the one.

I mean, they all kind of stuck with me.

Get Happy stuck with me.

Imperial Bedroom stuck with me.

so you guys on your uh release it's it's mostly it's all originals but you do at the end i noticed the last song was a was in a cash song right seven year eight that's right sort of do an interpretation of that

well and i'm trying to remember what i saw something about it well maybe in the past few years uh i don't know it's escaping me but uh anyway so at what point did you decide that this was what you needed to do like instead of just being something you wanted to do in school to something i'm going to school for this because i want to do this professionally

It was, well, all right.

I think it just became what I did.

Guitar kind of just consumed me from seventh grade on.

And then around 11th grade, when you kind of start thinking about college or the rest of your life, there were two people.

One of them was another kid in school that I was giving guitar lessons to that he kind of, you know, there was like the jocks and the preps and the the nerds and the guys, the Hesher's and all that stuff.

And I was just sort of, no, I was nowhere guy.

But this isn't a podcast about me again.
