Why, why do so many leaders really confuse being valuable with being useful, productive, or needed for that matter?

When, when I was raising my kids, I don't know how about, you know, people who are listening, is I would ask them, "How do you feel about this? Did you do the best you could? Are you happy with your result?" The grade was never the first question, because the grade is the outside validation which we measure against.

And I have met countless amazing leaders who are C students, because they had a passion for a certain region element of knowledge, and they would pursue that with excitement, which was contagious to their environment, and they became a natural leader.

And then I've met people who were straight A students, and they were just doing okay.

They were doing everything right, but they weren't able to create an uprising of emotion, of power, of people following them because they inspire.
