Writing the code is becoming the easy bit.
22:40
What we've seen is that coding agents are becoming reliable, right? I think there was a time where people wanted to double check everything for good reasons, right? I think we're getting to a point where these coding agents can do a lot of things pretty much autonomously and the human intervention is becoming less and less.
22:54
Yeah.
22:55
What is interesting about that is then basically when you have a specification of something and then the coding engine uses it to generate code, the code in some way becomes a commodity, right? As you said, because I can regenerate it again and again, or maybe it's buggy.
23:08
And then I say like, instead of like, I don't, in some way, I don't need to do bug fixing anymore, right? I can ask it to do it again, right? And avoid the bug or I can change the spec and can regenerate the code, right? Like these things would have been impossible in the past when you were doing hand coding.
23:21
And so this is why we get to the statement of code is a commodity, right? But that obviously has very profound implications because before code was always a rate limiting factor, right? Like it was always hard, like, oh, how do I hire all of these software engineers? Everyone wants to hire software, right? Like, I mean, it always was the problem.
23:37
So now that problem all of a sudden goes away.

And Dominique Wee's prediction is small, empowered, multidisciplinary teams with the AI working beside people in real time rather than in slow review cycles.
