Your overall take on how you feel about the window after it's closed?

Got enough? Probably not.

Probably one short.

I would have said at the start of the window that we needed three midfielders and a left back probably as a minimum.

And then a lot of the other stuff would be, you know, outgoings dependent and... whether we would sell Joshua Xerxe what happened to obviously the Manuel Agarte situation maybe complicated things a bit with with outgoings they were probably banking on on making a bit of bank from him and they didn't didn't get that because of his injury and then yeah the Rashford situation we didn't know what was going to happen without the start of the of the window did we and I'm very much at peace with that.

I know a lot of online United fans have their issues about that and are very strident in putting those forward, saying he shouldn't be here and that he's a big cost on the wage bill, etc.

I think it's a decent window still.

So I think they're probably happy to... heavily incentivize these things because that makes sense right if you get a player into the first team they make 50 appearances and and win a trophy and get an england cap then you're like well they've been successful so you've actually got a bargain so you might as well heavily incentivize it and then maybe leicester given their current financial position wanted more cash up front It happened with

United gonna do any more business? I mean, it seems like the noises are, they've been sniffing around every left back in Europe, or maybe they realize that, uh, especially with injury problems, injury problems for De Ligt and Martinez historically, Maguire getting on a bit, and Heaven and Yoro being pretty young, that they could do with someone who can play both positions.

I don't know if I like that as a theory of the case.

I, I really do think though, both Cunha and Rashford benefit significantly from having someone who actually is very good attacking left back.

I don't know, what do you think? They're gonna do some business? They have to.

They can't, they can't go into the season with one left back.

Would you be happy with that for this season knowing that you're going to go back for Hall next summer?

Yeah, I think I would be, and that's, that's me maybe trying to be a bit more measured and composed and, and not panicking about these things.

I just think a, a player who is ready to step into Shaw's shoes in big games is what United need, and that's why I, I am quite-- I, I haven't seen that much of Salinas and I, and I haven't seen any of Joaquin Saez, okay? So I don't know if they're ready to play in a, in a big game for United.

I can't make that judgment.

I can say that I think Anthony Robinson would or somebody of that ilk.

David Raum of Leipzig maybe would be another one in a, in a similar bracket of someone in their late 20s who, you know, would be a short-term two or three-year signing.

It all just- It, it smells of the Alex Telles situation a few years ago when he was brought in as a, as a short-term left back option to cover for Shaw, and it, it kind of improved Shaw, but Telles found himself nowhere.

So when you're looking at it as a whole, what do you think? Would the club look at bringing in another surprise name to complement a fullback, like a seasoned striker to comp- complement Sesko, or do you think that the focus is going to be solely on finalizing Balewa and bringing in maybe a Robinson or some sort of support in the defense, and after that just call it a halt for this summer?

So it seems very ambitious and it's like, it's like this dance that Real Madrid do with top Premier League clubs when they're umming and ahing or trying to get a new starter to sign a new contract.

I'm sure it'll happen with Jude Bellingham prob- probably in a couple of years when they think they want to, to leak something to the press to, to tease an interest of a, of an English club or something, and then it just doesn't happen.

So I think the, the interesting one with Arsenal is that they've also been linked with Bradley Barcola but now he looks like he's going to Liverpool and I think that's a bit of a problem because I think obviously he hasn't been getting into PSG's first choice front line which is ludicrous but that just shows their strength.

... that sort of piling the pressure onto United even more 'cause I, I know people want to sell Aguerd but you can't sell a player who's injured that isn't 20 million, 25 million or however much United think they can get for him.

There's rumblings about Mason Mount going, different perspectives on that story.

Some outlets are saying United are saying he isn't for sale and some people are saying that they would sell him.

AC Milan are interested, et cetera.

So United are trying to...

You know, I think they, they've done this in previous summers where they've, they've got their own house in order first.

And lots of other sports now you're seeing the presence of, of gambling all o- all, all over them.

And football, yeah, it's, this is nothing new.

And United have, they have swum against the tide a little bit, uh, I guess compared to a lot of rivals.

I don't think we would ever see a situation where Old Trafford or the new Old Trafford is, you know, the Betfair Stadium or something like that.
