And like, you know, as a sort of preteen into teenager years, this was a VHS tape that I o- often went back to, I mean, so many times.

My dogman encounter happened.

Well, my initial dogman-related encounter happened while my current wife and I went to James A. Reed National Wildlife Preservation here in Missouri.

It's in a town called Lee's Summit, Missouri.

And we had our dog, Lady.

She's an American pit, a sweetheart, except for other dogs, and a little dachshund named Cinnamon.

And they used to love to run.

When you went out your back door the night you had that encounter, did you almost instantly notice a lack of ambient noise, or was there no lack of ambient noise?
