You said, I am going to represent my district in Congress in Washington, D.C. First of all, tell us a little bit about your district.
2:19
So remember, 25 was ruled by itself.
2:24
You know, Roger Williams was there.
2:26
Folks weren't happy with him, but that wasn't why I ran.
2:30
I ran because with the gerrymandering that they did in Austin, it brought Fort Worth where I live and tacked it on to 25.
2:37
Oh, okay.
2:39
OK, so they tried to silence the voices of 33 by making a part of 25, thinking that the overwhelming red that Trump won by in 25 and 25 would overshadow what they did with the gerrymandering.

6 MINS LATER

8:33
In that camera, why should they be supporting you and making sure you are elected?
8:58
What, what went makes right now special?
9:00
I think what what's make now special is that people are awakening to the fact that the leadership at the top isn't listening to the people to which they're supposed to be representing, and I don't think any longer can we say, "Well, they'll get it right eventually." We've had 30 years of not getting it right here in Texas.
9:21
Uh, and then to know that even at the top that the blatant disregard for rule of law, uh, for, uh, the l- separation of the legislative branch supposed to provide checks and balances to the executive branch, um, that that triangle that's supposed to protect the we the people, for the people by the people, isn't working.
9:46
And so we've got to do something about it.
9:49
And so I think people are waking up to their voices-

8 MINS LATER

18:17
Are there things you wanna make sure that people know that you're gonna champion and change, um, from the current administration?
18:24
You know what? The current state of America, um, is one where people don't trust the government And, you know, why would you wanna step into that and be considered one of those, right? Uh, what I do hope is that we, this new freshman class coming in, um, who have a sense of self purpose and an integrity to the heart of humanity, bringing humanity back into governing instead of it all being about the, the bottom line and the dollar and self-enrichment.
19:00
And, you know, um, you know, making sure that the government sees people and not bits and bytes, okay? Bringing a face back to who the country is.
