As much as you want to tell me, how did the abyss enter your life?

Okay, a lot of people know Stan Winston.

He's an Academy Award winning makeup artist.

He did Terminator and many, many good movies.

I became friends with Stan when he came to Disney Studios years and years ago.

We became friends, he and his wife and his kids.

We visited them.

Look at that handsome fella.

Yeah.

So we get to California, and we get, get going, and there was a TV show on called Range or The Range Rider.

And, and Dick Jones was on that, and I thought, "I could double him." And then I got to learning about stunts.

And later on, I, I, I got a job at a place called Corriganville.

And it was a town that Ray "Crash" Corrigan, old-time actor, cowboy star, had built for making movies.

And I went out and I visited it.

And, uh, I asked the, the lead guy who did the hiring if, uh, if I could get a job there after, you know, spending the day.

Yeah.

[tense music]

I met John Carpenter, uh, on Escape From New York.

He and Debra Hill, they produced that film.

And again, I was doubling Kurt Russell, and that was the reason that I was pushed onto them.

W- When Escape finished, John went on preparing something else.

It might have been The Thing.

I'm not sure.

And we just hit it off and he, he, there was something about the way he moved, that he glided as Michael Myers.
