Um, what's your background and where, where do you hail from originally?

Yeah.

Well, thank you so much.

Uh, my name's Devin Wardlow, and I'm very excited to run to serve District Four Representative on the Santa Barbara City Council.

Um, I grew up here.

Santa Barbara is my home.

I graduated from Santa Barbara High and UCSB.

So given that you're really drawn to public service and really that, um, drive to give back, what made you, you know, go into public policy right out of, right out of college as opposed to trying your hand at private sector, um, jobs? What, what really motivated you to get involved, not only as a political appointee, but also as really the, a public policy without going into the private sector first?
