So for me, growing up, I didn't watch horror films.

There was a store in the mall that had all the horror dolls, and I couldn't walk past it.

That's like how afraid I was.

But Friday the 13th for me came into play because my mother never sent me to sleepaway camp because of Friday the 13th.

So full circle moment being in this show.

[laughs]

... uh, Janelle Monáe's character, she talks back to the girl, the twins, and she's like, "And your mother," and she starts going on a whole tangent about their mother, and it's like, well, yeah, you gotta die now.

I gotta-

I'm trying to think though, 'cause honestly, I was gonna say Rihanna.

I know we already seen her, but I just love her.

[laughs]

... 'cause my mom watched it and she was like, "And that's not what's happening to my daughter." That was my introduction to Friday the 13th, and then after I got the role, I was like, "Well, I gotta, I gotta watch it." Then I binged like four of the films in like one day, and then fell in love, 'cause it's so cool.

[laughs]

... and Brad's like such a horror person at the same time, and then here you go scaring me.

My heart's beating faster.

Um, talk to me about Brianna.

She's my favorite.

She's, um, a fearless reporter.

She wants to make sure that her brother is taken care of while he's going through his grieving period.

But she on her own is just an ambitious person who wants to make a mark on the world, wants to be a part of something.

There's so much already going on in the '70s, that it's hard to not wanna be in it.
