So I would imagine then after the paternity ruling, you probably went through some additional grief 'cause you lost two sons at that point, one in the car accident and then, then Dakota, of course.

Uh, again, processing the information of, of losing the two and then figuring out what was gonna happen after that.

And since the, in the years since the accident happened, since Cody had passed away, keep in mind I live in small-town California, everybody knows everybody, and occasionally I would run into, uh, Dakota and Cody's aunt.

And she would tell me, she was always telling me, "I don't care what the blood test says, I'm telling you Dakota is your son." And you know, I'm like, "Oh, okay." You know, kinda just kinda blew it off.

And so I'll fast-forward this to, my dad passed away in July of 2008.
