We recently got together to hear his views on how AI has killed the cybersecurity response window.
15:41
So obviously, the cybersecurity topic has been prominent, you know, frankly, in many ways since computers were, were connected or networked together, so the earliest days of the, I guess, what eventually was called the Internet.
15:52
Uh, one of the things that, uh, was a reality from the beginning was it was human-speed attacks typically against human-speed defenses.
16:00
And I think what has really dramatically changed, yes, one, things have become more hyper-networked.
16:05
Yes, more things have become more driven by software, which, which just creates a larger threat, uh, landscape.
16:11
But also, AI has changed the economics, uh, the speed, yes, but the scale, the scope, and the sophistication of the attacks.
16:20
And so we now have a scenario where it's the machine speed versus human speed.
17:10
Is there a hope for automation on the defender's side?
7:20
Yeah,
7:21
I think it's often the case here is, number one, I think if we go back to the 90s, right, at the time we start to put computers on everybody's desk, it was unheard of that everybody would know how to type.
7:32
as an example.
7:32
That's true.
7:33
Now we look around, everybody types, right? And it's a natural way to engage.
7:36
But we can't write.
7:37
No, we can't write.

How critical is that change management?
