It's not necessarily where I thought I would be when I was 18 years old, thinking about what a career looks like.

But when I was a kid, I grew up in a rural town in southwest Iowa, 7,500 people, you know, small Iowa town, and then went to Iowa State for my undergrad work.

As a high schooler, I had a great opportunity to to be a page in our state house.
