And what happened on the novel this week?

The novel was interesting this week.

I thought that I would make more progress.

I'm doing a rewrite after getting notes from my agent last summer, taking some time and kind of re-envisioning it.

And I had sort of set this as like my absolute last deadline for starting this rewrite.

And I thought I would make a whole bunch of progress.

But what I ended up doing instead was really just zooming in on this first chapter to say, okay, what do I want this voice to be? What do I want the tone to be? What do I want the vibe to be? And I went through a couple different iterations of just this one chapter, honestly.

And I'm curious if you could share with us, what is it that you need as an artist in these days?
