But it's something I think that I've talked to, when I talk to a lot of authors, like that's a big aspiration that they would like to achieve and you're doing it.

Yeah, especially indie authors.

I think indie authors... don't think that it's an option um i'm very lucky in the sense that my husband well i moved to malaysia that's probably the way the first i should start with that i i don't live in australia i live in malaysia yep um and so like i'm very lucky with my husband that he believed in me that he was like well we're moving to malaysia for three years I want you to write for full time for three years and see what it can come out of because I have been writing essentially full time when I was living in Australia.

So I worked as a mental health, adolescent mental health nurse and I did 12 hour shifts.

So I would only work like three days a week anyway, every other day I'd write.

So yeah, it was like a really big balancing act of between like working with some of the most complex young people in the state of Queensland and trying to write these really heavy, emotionally heavy books.

So I was like, oh, and he could see where I was like really torn.
