I know that you kind of tell me what is an apprenticeship, but What exactly is a registered apprenticeship? And if I join one today, what will I be doing and learning? Yeah, that's a really

great question.

So a registered apprenticeship program is a training program that is registered with the U.S. Department of Labor.

And that means that it's recognized nationwide.

So what we would do is take an occupation program.

For example, if we wanted to look at welding as an occupation, the U.S. Department of Labor has gone out and talked to welders all over the country, all of the experts, and they compiled a curriculum that we call a work process schedule.

And it says in order to be an expert in welding, in order to complete a registered apprenticeship program, these are the skills that you need to have.

Can you explain to me what is the Good Life and Great Careers Initiative and what is trying to accomplish through these apprenticeships?
