going in? What you guys put on film last
0:30
week, how did that sit with you? to see a reversal this week.
0:49
I mean, it was exciting.
0:51
I mean, you know what I mean? I mean, that's all of our name was on that tape, you know what I'm saying, the past two weeks.
0:55
But, you know what I mean? It's been starting off 0-2.
0:57
I mean, it wasn't a good feeling, but, you know what I mean? The guys responded really well.
1:02
I mean, coming back from those big division games at home, you know, we were fighting for our first win, and the guys came out.
1:32
as
0:00
Yeah,
0:00
not good enough.
0:01
I mean, plain and simple, we got our ass walked.
0:06
When your owner says, hey, we got to have a higher sense of urgency, find a way, and this happens in a season opener, what's your response against that? Not yet.
0:15
I mean, like you said, we do have to find a way.
0:17
I mean, we have a sense of urgency throughout the week.
0:20
You know, can't pay attention to better detail.

It's
7:15
What do you do as a leader to kind of make all those new faces feel welcome and to fit in the culture that you and Grove especially have kind of established in that way?
7:24
Yeah, I feel like Grove is a big help with that as well.
7:27
I mean, obviously Grover being in year 10, being a 10 year guy in Indy.
7:32
And just the type of player he is, the person he is.
7:35
I mean, he's a big help with me leading that room, you know what I mean? We're a good one-two punch.
7:41
you know getting the guys you know really together you know making it making the room feel warm for everybody to be feel welcome because we're all part of it you know what I mean we all have one goal and that's where we try to you know we have multiple different personalities but you know if we make it a you know a comfortable space where everybody's comfortable to you know just be themselves because I mean you know Grover's gonna be himself I'm gonna be myself you know so it's we made it a room where it's a safe place where everybody can just be themselves nobody else and that's how we gain a lot of the guys trust you know what I mean with one another and And also just practicing what you preach, you know what I mean? We go out there and work hard, put in the extra work and guys respond to action, not just words.
8:19
And that's what we've been able to do over the years.
8:22
Give me a teammate who you wanna give a little love to, who maybe deserves a little more attention than they might be getting right now.
82:33
What is it like before training camp? I guess what I mean by that is like the day before, if you have team meetings, what is, what is the basic message from the coaching staff as you get ready for this camp?
82:44
No, yeah, just the, obviously the standard just, you know, coaches going over the standard, the goals for the season and what they expect from everybody.
82:52
And, you know, everybody being on the same page, you know, and just going over, you know, the mindset going into the season, you know, how camp is going to be ran and everything, pretty much all of those things.
83:04
And then obviously we break up later in the night and going over, you know, with our position groups and obviously the expectation from each group and what we expect and, yeah, how we're going to go about attacking the season.
83:17
How do you spend your offseason these years? Uh, you know, really just, uh, I mean, I try to stay in shape year round.
83:25
So, I mean, I, I take a little time off and then I hit the ground rolling, trying to, you know, stay in shape and, and also just spending a lot of family time with, you know, with my family and my kids.
83:35
Um, you know, cause in the season it's, you know, I'm, you know, you're rarely home and you're working.
87:09
So are you 100% now?
