So I'm, you know, just, you know, i- a little, uh, framework around, you know, um, the parental environment that I was brought up in.

You know, my mother was a schoolteacher, my father was a graphic designer.

Um, they were both from the Netherlands, they were migrants to Australia, um, and they basically were, you know, very humble, hardworking people.

Um, so we were brought up in the one house in Sydney.

Um, as the family unit grew, it was myself and my brother, we needed to do some extensions and I'm, if I'm m- memory serves me correctly, I think I was 10 years of age.

I was standing in our only family bathroom, and Mom and Dad said, "We need to expand the home," and what's that gonna look like? And I sat with Dad and drew on a paper towel the idea of what the rooms would look like and the types of windows.
