So how did this all start?

Yeah.

Well, it started with my son, John.

Um, I am the mom to John, uh, and he has, uh, autism that, that's on the severe end of the spectrum.

And, um, when he was a teenager, I began to seriously worry about, uh, what was gonna happen to him when he left the school system.

Who was going to ensure that he had a happy life, a purposeful life, he had a job if he, if he was able to work, uh, he had community? Who was gonna do that when I was no longer in a position to do it myself? And on top of that, where was he gonna live when he can't live with me any longer? So I got busy, and I quickly learned that there were many other families in our communities, in our local communities, that had the same need and the same worry.

So we put our, you know, dedicated, passionate minds together and began to, to make things happen for 29 Acres.
