Hi, everybody.

This is Debbie from Corpus Christi, Texas.

Hi, Mom.

I wanna give a special shout-out to you.

I know you're listening today.

[laughs]

My mom, Sonia Tweedy, and my friends from Corpus, my Big Life sisters.

[laughs]

Unfortunately, we couldn't go outdoors yesterday.

We had a brief outing.

I drove her over to the music theater to get a ticket.

She couldn't find her panties, and I found them when we got home in her suitcase.

So she purchased two pairs of drawers in Marshalls, just her speed, two for $1.

[laughs]

I knew of her tremendous love.

Mm-hmm

... or five days.

And at Universal Studio, they have so many lockers.

You have to put your stuff, and we had to do the park completely different.

So at that park, we had a little tiny, like, hiking backpack.

I see them all the time that you get at Amazon for, like, 20 bucks.

And, and it was really uncomfortable, but it did the job 'cause I cannot go without my snacks, my stuff.

Yes.

Not just her father's surname, but his first name too, Lewis.

And again, his first name's not really...

I mean, it might be more common now, but it's not that common, and the spelling of it was kind of unusual for a person his age.

Sometimes he'd be there in the waiting area of the clinic when they emerged from their session.

On one of occasions, quite early on when she started seeing Chloe, her dad came and picked us up, and he was in the waiting room, and she spoke to him.

They both spoke to one another and said hello.

So he drives her to a pub in the countryside and buys her a drink.

Sat outside 'cause it were nice.

It was summer.

We were just talking like just normal, and not coming, not telling me what he'd took me there for.

And then, um, I said to him, "Well, what, what did you want to tell me?" And he said, um, this is what he said.

He said, "I think I've got a, I think I've got a daughter or something.

This woman's been in contact and said she thinks I'm her dad." Because obviously I'd been with him since I was 17.

Something happened when Chloe was 14, and the memory of it still haunts Debbie

Debbie took the trash out to the backyard.

And as I came back in, my eyes caught the sight of the dessert.

And I said, "Oh my gosh, I've got to get that into the refrigerator." I had just turned my mixer on, and so I couldn't hear anything.

And all of a sudden, um, I feel a, an arm around my neck.

And I reached up automatically, and I patted the arm.

And I said, "What are you doing up?" Because I thought it was my husband.

My eyes went down to the floor, and I caught sight of his boots.

The man walked Debbie into the woods behind her house.

In the coming years, Anita would live in several such camps.

When I would talk to her other friends about it, her friends would say, "Oh, it was hard, you know, it was, the food wasn't good most of the time, and we didn't have money." ButYou would never have known that talking to her.

She was just eternally optimistic.

She said, "It was wonderful.

They opened the doors, and I saw so many people that I knew there.

We'd play cards, and we'd drink, and, you know, the girls would do each other's hair and just had fun."
