'Cause it, it has to happen sort of in the now, because I think that deeper exploration takes time, right? And it takes time to shift gears and show up differently.

differently.Well, yeah, I mean, I think there are kind of-- there are three major components to the healing journey of our emotional triggers.
6:15
And I think that the first one that I like to talk about is building capacity, and that one happens really in many ways before you would ever get emotionally triggered.
6:26
And that's the one where you're making sure that you're getting enough sleep or that you've eaten that day or that you've given enough time and space.
6:34
Like, one of the things that was a big issue for me was that I used to get really impatient with my kids before school because, you know, they were goofing off or whatever and not getting things done.
6:43
And, and I remember it seems like such a simple thing to do, but it was hard for me to figure out that I needed to do it, which is I-- we just got up a little bit earlier, and we said, "Okay, we're gonna start getting up a little bit earlier so that there's a little time for play and goofing off, and I don't have to be irritated that you didn't get your shoes on," or whatever it is.
7:01
So sometimes the building capacity piece is something that people don't really look at, and I think that that's kind of the first, like, work I would suggest people do is: Are there things that are happening in your life? Are you overscheduling yourself? Are you overscheduling your kids? Can you dial back on some of these things so that there's a little bit of time? I think kids oftentimes act out because they're not getting enough mommy time or daddy time, making sure that we're building that in.

Talk about that process, helping moms to rediscover themselves at the core so that they can kind of build version two point oh or reinvention, so to speak, after the empty nest happens.
