So what does the immediate future look like for our U.S. relationship with those countries?
7:46
Well, the two countries are different and they have different circumstances.
7:50
So for China, their deal has been having a bilateral deal on the side and they have come to some agreements already, meaning that their deadline is actually August 12th.
8:03
And Trump has been more positive about China, indicating again and again that they're likely to reach a deal, and him and China are on the right path and are likely to do that.
8:17
But with Canada, the president has been really negative, saying that the Canadians aren't cooperating and they're not likely to reach a deal by Friday, which is their deadline.
8:26
And Canadian Prime Minister Carney has said the same thing and said that Canada will not go for a bad deal.
8:33
So it's unlikely for them to make a deal by Friday, and we'll see Canada, one of our big trading partners, impacted.
8:40
So now that we're basically at this deadline and companies are starting to commit to passing price hikes along to consumers like you and me, what's the White House saying about the burden that Americans may shoulder here?
