And Sylph, tell us about what we will see and hear on stage at Dance Fest with Dawn Springer Dance.
60:34
Cool.
60:34
Yeah, Sylph is, um, was primarily inspired by a Wisconsin-based composer, a percussionist, John Mueller.
60:41
And I've worked with John over a few different projects, and he had sent this music to me that's all percussion.
60:45
It's very, very intense.
60:47
And as I started working with it, it really reminded me of the sort of internal feeling of being the ballerina and trying to become the ballerina.
60:56
Um, so I started working with that with a few dancers who had just recently retired from Mil- uh, Milwaukee Ballet, and the more conversations we had in the process, we didn't really know what we were making.
61:39
... trying to be lighter than a- make, make dancing on pointe shoes look easy and effortless and light.
57:21
It really is more a spirit of discovery.
57:23
Yeah, and seeing something new.
57:25
And I think that sometimes when you think about, when I hear from audience members who go to see dance, oftentimes we hear from artists or from audience members who are like, you know, I hadn't seen, I hadn't been to a lot of dance before.
57:36
And dance can be a little intimidating in a way if you haven't gone and experienced it or if you're not a regular dance goer.
57:44
But, you know, I was just at a wedding and so many people were dancing and so many people were watching.
57:49
And I think it is something that's really... innate in us as a form of expression.
57:55
And so to be able to experience so many different types of dance at such an affordable price, you know, the outside show is free and it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend and to get to go be in community and experience dance is a special thing.

And Sylph, tell us about what we will see and hear on stage at Dance Fest with Dawn Springer Dance.
