So, David, how should members think about cost and value and predictability in concert with one another to make the best elections with the information they have today?
4:18
Well, it's a great question, Alex.
4:19
And where people start is they look at the premium.
4:24
And that is one area to start with, but then you need to think about what your circumstances are.
4:30
So do you understand or do you have an idea that maybe you need to have a specialist visit or maybe you have ongoing specialist visits? So when you look at the cost of the products, you need to look at both the premium, but then what your out-of-pocket costs are going to be.
4:44
So a lot of times products that have lower premiums have higher out-of-pocket costs.
4:49
And if you're healthy and you don't need a lot of services, that may be the right product for you.

If we could put it all into a nutshell that makes it easier for listeners to remember, could you recap your top advice? Essentially, what would you tell your own family members if they became federal employees about how they can maximize their health plan benefits through Blue Cross and Blue Shield year round, you know, to not only save them money, but really to keep them at their healthiest?

Thank you, David, alcoholic.

I want to say thank you.

I think it's Eric that reached out to me.
0:10
You guys hear me all right? Yes.
0:13
Uh, thank you to Eric for reaching out and inviting me here to participate in your group.
0:19
Um, it is such an honor to, uh, to do anything for Alcoholics Anonymous.
