What is it that we should be thinking about when we go there? Is it Bangkok? Is it up near Chiang Mai up north? Or is it like Phuket, you know, Koh Samui? Where should we be looking to go?
2:05
I think it really depends on what you want, Doug.
2:07
I mean, like I said before, I think a lot of people have this perception that it's beaches, you know, and we go down and we do our Te Puke and the likes of that and just hang out.
2:16
But I mean, like I say, if you go up north into Chiang Mai, for example, you know, you're going to get little temples, Buddhist cultures, beautiful, beautiful mountain scenery.
2:27
It's a much slower pace, so a lot more connection with nature and just, I guess, more rural settings, smaller villages.
2:37
Then, I mean, like, everybody's going to go to Phuket.
2:40
I think it's one of the drawcards of Thailand is the beaches and south, you know, and it's Koh Samui and it's those islands, you know, it's those limestone caves, it's the beaches, it's the kicking back, just, I guess, that real holiday feeling.

What's some of the mistakes that we often make when we go to Thailand?

What are the main, I suppose, cultural or language groups that are spoken in South America? And what are the difference between those cultural groups?
2:34
Yeah, so like you said, you know, the majority of South America and Central America is Spanish until you get down to Brazil, and it's got the Portuguese influence.
2:43
But you actually have one little country up there in the northeast called Guyana, and it's a British colony, and they speak English.
2:52
Yeah, so it's, and a lot of people don't even know that little country exists.
2:57
So, you know, it's, again, it's so diverse, and it's got so much that people don't realize it.
3:04
You know, you hear Machu Picchu, you hear Buenos Aires, you hear Patagonia.
3:10
But, you know, it's like I said, La Paz is just like a living museum, the capital of Bolivia.

What are we talking cost-wise? What sort of budget should we be thinking about? Because obviously Australia to South America is quite a way off.

What is it that you love about Vietnam?
0:48
Yeah, Doug, yeah.
0:49
It, it is, it's, uh, very unique.
0:51
It's...
0:52
I think I...
0:52
It's the diversity for me.
0:54
Um, you know, obviously we, we think of Asia and its food, but, um, Vietnam is, it's got culture.

It, uh, it's quite a modern, and technology's quite available these days there, isn't it?
