And so, you know, kind of what was that information gathering like for you and then also the process of finding all the photographs and things?

Well, it's interesting because I grew up with the Chiefs and followed them.

I actually, I always work when I do a book, I always work from an outline.

And so I put the outline together.

And because of the timeframe that they needed it, I did it from memory.

And then I used the internet to verify dates and stats and stuff like that.

But I did the whole book in two weeks.

What new is in the second edition?

And

they all said the same thing.

How far back does being an author go for you? How long have you been writing books?

it goes back to nineteen eighty eight thanks for having me on the chart i appreciate it uh... that i was in grad school at k state in nineteen eighty eight when k state closed our field house and i was sitting next to it kenny mossman who was the sports information director uh...

in a class that i think what you guys going to do to commemorate that and he that we're going to sell t-shirts and i think we got to something more permanent than that and he felt like what i said produce a book on the history because as you well know, during the 38 years of Ahern, K-State won more Big Six, or excuse me, Big Seven and Big Eight championships than anyone, including the flaw in the car down the highway.

And I said, produce a book about it.

He said, well, you're a writer.

Why don't you write it? And I said, well, I've never written a book.

And he said, oh, how hard can it be? Come to my office tomorrow.
