Yeah, absolutely.

So I actually got my career started just as a journalist, right? I was a legal affairs reporter working for different papers.

So that is as simple as it sounds, covering trials, right? Covering lawsuits.

Because I'm based in San Francisco, a lot of the stuff I was doing was covering like worker violation lawsuits against big tech, right? Things that were dealing with, like, Uber and, like, DoorDash, Lyft, all that kind of stuff where, you know, we were worried about, like, are they employees? Are they contractors? All that kind of stuff.

But during that time, while I'm covering, like, the lawsuits that companies are facing, big tech is facing, Edward Snowden comes out and reveals the PRISM program, which is that the NSA was scooping up, like, untold quantities of communications across the globe.

And within those communications were Americans' communications.

This program that is called Section 702, in trying to gather foreign intelligence, the NSA is also gathering messages that you and I could send to our friends who just simply live in another country.

And then we can dive into the details and some takeaways to keep people safe, not just during the World Cup, but any major event where probably the same attackers are targeting people who are looking for something.
