And everyone goes, well, why do you keep putting LT2 off? Well, this time we put it off because we needed to make sure we were making decisions knowing what we were going to have to do.

And, you know, bottom line is controlling lead in drinking water is critically important and whatever we want to be able to choose the best treatment and then we have to choose an LT2 solution that's going to be compatible with that.

And we've basically narrowed it down to three options at Highland Reservoir and two at COPS.

The three at Highland Reservoir are ultraviolet light disinfection, the reservoir remains uncovered, the possibility of constructing tanks in the reservoir footprint and burying them and then building a small water feature, or decommissioning Highland Reservoir entirely and relying on the storage available at Cobbs Hill.

Now, every single one of those options, the net result will be that something, there will be major change in Highland Park.

So the next question becomes, how do they keep algae and algae toxins out of the plant?

So it's basically quantifying the replenishment rate of the lake versus how much you can draw to keep it at an equilibrium.

Correct.

And a given allowable withdrawal in March is different than it is in October because lake levels fluctuate throughout the year.

And we've got a century's worth of that data that proves it out.

So we have not ever seen a reason to modify it.

I don't think the lake could support taking more.

But at the same time, I don't see a need for us to look at reducing it either.

That's our policy.

That's not how EPA does it, but our policy fits into EPA's requirements.

Now, a few things I want to note about the dashboard.

One, several, probably 15, 20 years ago, the Water Bureau undertook a program to digitize all of our records.

And this is the fruit of that labor because our inventory was remarkably much easier to put together than a lot of communities were because we already had taken the time to do this stuff.

So that effort really paid benefits in a way we had no idea it would later on.

In all the lead stories I've seen across the country, this is genuinely impressive and truly unheard of.
