Can you tell me a little bit about how the spinnery got started?

I'll give it a try.

It was really in the late '70s that some of us were starting to get to know ourse-- each other better and follow whatever our walks of life were at that time.

And Claire, who is one of the founders, she was sort of a inspiration as a lifetime weaver and knitter.

Her husband died, and when he passed, she arranged a conference.

And at that, and at that conference, which was related to the Friends, American Friends Quaker, there were some options of how maybe she and people in our area could go forward with something.

So that became a planning group.
