How did you begin your experience with the SRS, and what have been some of the highlights of your time?

So my mentor in residency, Bruce Van Dam, was the first Army doctor, Army surgeon, to do a spine fellowship, and he did it at Minnesota with Bob Winard, David Bradford, John Lonstein, and Jim Ogilvie.

And, um, he inspired me through his excellence that, uh, that, yeah, spine, uh, diverted from sports to spine.

And, um, he, uh, always talked about the SRS.

So my first SRS meeting-- So I, I got started doing research early on.
