David PetersonGUEST
The other plane is actually flying through the tops of the fire generated clouds.

David PetersonGUEST
And that way we have direct measurements that we can correlate with the so-called steerable satellite, if you will.

Jordan ArmstrongHOST
So what are you hoping to do with the information you obtain from these missions?

D
37:27David PetersonGUEST
We certainly have to look at that as a broader context for our current time period.
D
37:33David PetersonGUEST
So if we look at Western North America in general, we know that fires used to burn almost all summer.
D
37:42David PetersonGUEST
And any accounts that we have, say from the 1800s, that were in newspapers or other writings, almost all of those accounts say that the skies were smoky all summer long.
D

Independent books like Mouse Guard and Cursed Pirate Girl definitely got a good push- Yeah ... from, from the community you guys all built.
David PetersonGUEST
And, uh, it was at a time where trying to get, you know, big attention from review sites or magazines wasn't that easy, and you guys had built this wonderful fan community and host community that made good recommendations, um, and then invited folks like us onto your show multiple times.

Well, you know, I never dealt with any trailer parks, but I did have to inspect some properties in Orange Mound in Memphis, which, uh, was made famous from The Blind Side.
David PetersonGUEST
So, you know, some humble beginnings here and there, but I was born into this stuff.
David PetersonGUEST
You know, I- I came in as a team member and had a team member mindset and struggled and saw a lot of agents struggling around me, and I just wasn't okay with that.

David PetersonGUEST
When you're holding them accountable, they're a lot more likely to take it and not get defensive, uh, towards you.
