And is there kind of anything that you've kind of noticed that's changed since you've qualified this role as a nursing associate? Have you noticed any differences?

Within the nursing associate role, no, because the way specifically the ward that I'm on, the way I've always been treated on the ward is probably very different to how others have been treated.

So, for example, on my ward, the way that the manager, a previous manager and my manager now, to treat us, it's a case of they treat us as nurses, which is an odd thing to say for a nursing associate.

At the same time, they treat us with the respect of, yes, there are one or two things you definitely can't do.

But the first question I was asked is, do you want to do your top up? Do you want to become a nurse? And the first thing I said is, yes, of course, I absolutely do want to be.

He said, great.

So if that's what you want to do, That's how we're going to treat you.

So how important is it that healthcare professionals feel able to kind of talk openly about their own kind of well-being?
