It was politically driven, and I think it was very much something that was passed to the civil service, the permanent secretary and his team, to say, we want this done.

um and and sometimes you can see it and sometimes you can't is there anything we can say about what was in the mind of the politicians at the time um teresa villiers um andrew adonis and so on i think andrew adonis was certainly a very to my mind enthusiastic person for this but What was behind the enthusiasm of those kind of politicians? Was it, you know, we'll have this wonderful monument to, you know, large project delivery? Was it we're going to sort of make it easier for connectivity between North and South and vice versa? Or what do you think?
