Now, are you seeing that some of these producers view the EPR programs and rules as an opportunity to create a new circular economy business that they can participate in?

David LawesGUEST
You can just imagine the range of producers, and some are forward-thinking and thinking about the circular economy and how they might be able to benefit from it.

David LawesGUEST
Others are, you know, still, still in the linear stages and still in the early stages of understanding EPR or not believing these requirements will apply to them.

David LawesGUEST
But, uh, certainly I know the companies that we're working for, they are looking at circularity as a business opportunity for sure.

But where do you where are your pain points? You know, what sits in your inboxes as your headache?

David LawesGUEST
The first one is, you know, every producer and every industry has the same sort of pathway to compliance and sometimes call it the EPR cycle of grief for industry, because when you're when they're regulated to manage and take control of this stuff you know you firstly go through can't government can pop can't possibly making me do this this is a local government responsibility why am I now doing this but it's true state has regulated you to to do this stuff and so they go through these various steps of acceptance and and that is a bit of a pain point but it's also an opportunity for us to engage in dialogue with all different all different types, sizes, colors of producers, whether it be big retailers, small retailers, distributors, manufacturers.

David LawesGUEST
That's a pain point for us, but it is an activity that we have to engage in to promote, not promote, but provide awareness for this law because it applies to everybody that sells it.

David LawesGUEST
It needs to, everyone that sells this product in the state needs to Understand where they sit in the compliance chain, whether they are directly responsible for reporting their material or if they're downstream or upstream is reporting it.

Victoria D'ArcyHOST
Are there incentives in the industry, even at the state level or the country level, that businesses can take advantage of in order to improve their processes or, you know, behave more intentional or intentionally when it comes to the right behaviors?
