So what was that like, kind of building that world for you and using your imagination to make something that's just kind of strictly on an audio form?
8:06
You know what? That was rude, and I'm not being cute when I say it.
8:11
It was truly the fun of it.
8:13
That was truly the point of me doing this.
8:16
I honestly believe if...
8:17
This was presented to me in a film version for me to play Dr. Seward.
8:24
I would have said no, just because I don't know how much I can add there.
12:27
What was it about Dr. Seward that really made you gravitate towards him as a character?
8:24
Rewinding slightly to Rylane, what was it like to film around Peckham?
8:28
It was the best.
8:29
It was absolutely the best.
8:30
I had aunties taking my numbers.
8:33
And if an auntie asked you for your number, kind of chirps in you, like, I'm not going to say no.
8:39
Yes, auntie, take my number.
8:40
It's absolutely fine.

12 MINS LATER

20:37
what you're getting yourself in for.
7:19
Am I the only one? Do you
7:21
know what? I'm not going to lie.
7:23
It was a very heated audition.
7:25
And by the way, it actually holds part true to what this film, the film that we ended up making.
7:32
It was very...
7:34
We had to remain true in whatever it was.
7:36
So it's all about... being the real person so anyway i tried my best to do that and then i had any nothing so i don't know if i even did a good job but what happened was the film just fell apart um you know i always say making movies is like really hard um and on even talking to you now on this this film podcast it is you guys know more than anything every movie that gets made like deserves a medal because it's a heroic act of like community and you know and and perseverance anyway the film kind of came back around and obviously the second i started to gain maybe a little bit of urgency you chase the projects that feel like they meant something to you and then when cow and i met up again it we we looked at it from an entirely different perspective and i thought and he actually he said actually i think you should play I think it would be a different, you know, he wanted the characters actually meant to be much more older than me.
12:39
okay all right i could throw some names but but i won't um but yeah it's fascinating because when when you get to it when you're both when you're on set uh making the movie a lot of your scenes are in that really cramped cell and how do you start navigating that space together and does that inform your performances that idea of being shut in by this really really claustrophobic cell I
12:00
When, you know, you look back to Coppola's The Outsiders and you look at the ensemble cast of, like, these great young actors and how different the sort of personalities were.

It's fucking terrifying, ain't it?
12:10

12:13
I ain't trying to think about it too much.

Just wanna walk and make some friends.
12:16
Yeah, the table read, I was nervous, man.
12:19
I think everyone was, 'cause this is the first time we're meeting each other, you know? So we're going in there, you know, a little blind.
16:57
And I think that David is someone who has a lot of selflessness, and I think that it shows in Pete.
