I think the key point in your question is actually it's never me or it's not the continuous improvement expert.

As experts, our role actually isn't to deliver the change.

Our role is to facilitate the people that are closest to where the work is actually happening.

to help them to understand where the waste is by applying some of the tools, the technique and the mindset and helping them to find the waste.

Because more often than not, they actually are the people that are the best placed to actually find the answers and to find the improvement.

And more often than not, they already know they're there.
