So after thirty-five years and thousands of organizations, what actually brings a team together?

Common goals.

You know, I think people really enjoy… I think one of the first e-events we started to do was we did something called Treasure Hunt Adventure, and basically we would be at a resort or a conference center, and we'd, we'd have people looking for a treasure chest, and they would come together, they would find the clues, they'd piece it all together.

They'd put the map together.

They opened up the treasure chest, and everybody got something.

So everybody, you know, benefited from, you know, that particular event.

But if, if you get them to learn something or share their talents or do different things that give back to charity.

Now Davey, what's the one most memorable moment that you witnessed a team that transformed or a moment where everything has clicked? And feel free to tell us about more than one story.

Our parasha passage for today is entitled Re'eh, meaning, See, and covers Deuteronomy 11.26-16.17.

The title, See, comes from the first verse of the parasha, where Moses reminds the people, saying, "'See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse.'" And this is the key theme of the parashah.

Blessings follow when we listen and obey the word of God, and curses come when we turn away and disobey the word of the Lord.

Chapter 12. details the rules and regulations for sacrifices.

Four times in chapter 12, the Lord indicates that once Israel enters the promised land, the Lord will, quote, "...establish the place in which the Lord your God shall choose for his name to dwell." That's verse 11.

Initially, this will be at Shiloh and then later at Jerusalem.

Mm-hmm.

And everyone, you know, with, with the food TV, you know, is a chef at home, and it r- really can come out.

You know, the The, the secretary or the administrative assistant or the, um, someone, the ed- engineer comes up with some ideas that you had no idea that they had, and you come up with a cake or, or chili or chowder or ice cream, all the different things we, we've created.

Even ice sculpting.

Mm-hmm.

You know, you wanna a- allow them to fail and, you know, and look into curiosity.

You want your people to be curious.

You want them to take risks at work.

... they're as lovely as the New York ones.

You know, it's funny.

We used to...

Where, where we lived, in front of my house there was, uh, the storm sewers.

And whenever we would play baseball, the ball would go down there.

And [laughs] one of us, the short, the person who drew the short straw, and usually the shortest person, because they w- there wasn't a lot of room to, uh, walk.

So, if you, if you were tall, you, you'd had to crawl through it.

Yeah, me either.

And after, I think, a few weeks, there were four disappearances in Florida.

Police investigators are looking into four incidents throughout the state.

Meanwhile, FBI agents in Las Vegas are still searching for clues to the disappearance of 17-year-old Michelle Korfman.

I mean, were you thinking that this guy is especially good at what he does?

He remembers Miami in 1984 was a city emerging from a dark period of being branded the murder and drug capital of the world, and ironically, the Grand Prix was a sign of better times ahead.

Miami was sort of in a rebirth time.

We had the boat lifts coming in from Cuba, a lot of drug deals coming in from South America.

It, it was the cocaine cowboys.

We used to call it the Casablanca of the '80s, because at any given moment, you can go into a, a popular club or a bar, and they could be talking at one table about overthrowing a government in Central America, another table about cocaine deals, another table some public official getting paid off.

And Miami's image was hurt by all that, obviously, and it was just starting to come around, and the Grand Prix was a big deal at the time.

Yeah, you got hundreds of thousands of people in the street, and then with all those people around, Rosario just vanishes.

Do you miss the work at all?

You know, I do.

I miss the people.

I miss the office.

I miss going into an office.

Um, I don't miss the pressure of it, and I, I ne- I didn't realize the tremendous pressure you're under, uh, until I left, until I, I, I had to decompress.

It took me about six months to decompress.

You know, and you and I were alive during that.
