Are there any limitations that stood out to you either during this specific case or when thinking about when it could be used in different cases?
6:47
Yeah, absolutely.
6:47
So this case, being the first one that we used this technology for, showed us a lot of promises as well as limitations that still need to be optimized.
6:56
So one of the biggest things is something called perspective shift.
7:00
And what that means is in any augmented reality system, this can be a challenge where when you move from the specific viewpoint where you registered from, the accuracy can change and the overlay can drift.
7:13
So when we registered the patient's anatomy from the top of the head, it was quite accurate, at least subjectively.
7:20
But then as we rotate around to access the midface, for example, the perspective shift did become a little bit of a challenge.
10:24
And so I guess stepping back for a second, if you're a surgeon listening to this and trying to decide whether this is something that is worth incorporating, how would you think about it having used it before?
