I, I don't know if people remember a couple years ago where there was like a banana on the wall with like a piece of tape on it, right? That went for like millions of dollars, okay? So there's lots of different levels of art.

So to call a card art is not that crazy, okay? You're not saying that it's better than the Mona Lisa and there's more talent to put it together, but at the same time, uh, somebody can splatter paint on a canvas and it can still be art, and it can still move you.

So you know what? There's lots of different forms.

I don't think you need to apologize in any way for saying something like that

So, like- The way that-- The reason why I was even able to get this card was because, um, before Strongsville, I have a friend who, uh, is in southern California with me, and I'd see him at card shows, and, um, he, like three days...

Uh, I'd say like a month before the Ne- the, uh, Strongsville, he said, "I kinda want a page." And I was like, "Oh my God," like, "That's the dream card.

You're gonna seriously get one?" He's had like a crazy scenario.

He, he's ha- he is- he lost his house in the Palisades fire.

He has two kids and, uh, has kind of been through a very crazy couple of years.

David, how about you?

Yeah, no.

I just, I could not love cards more than these Leaf cards.

And this is just a p- uh, I have all the Leaf cards now that I would want.

These are the short print Hall of Famers with my favorite versions of the card.

And, uh, this is just how they are together.

This is when I was waiting for my s- for my, uh, Satchel Paige.

I was playing around with this, dreaming of having it in my collection.

I am a little bit more cautious than you.

Um, I am, I am nervous to be putting lots of cash, uh, from my own pocket and not using card capital in this market right now.

Um, I am nervous about it and I've been nervous for about six or seven months.

I just feel like the increase in prices are just, uh, making me feel uncomfortable.

And the cards that I really, really want are kind of out of hand.

No vintage basketball players are.

I mean, it's crazy, right? Chamberlain, Russell, even the Mykin, like, you know, these crazy iconic basketball cards have just, uh, slept during this recent, uh, fury of card collecting, and it is absolutely shocking to me.

But, uh, I think they'll get-- I think it will get its day.

The one thing that when people are kinda talking about these things, I'm not saying this is right, but for baseball, hitters that are there for average just are not heavily collected.

The long ball is so much of the hobby.

And with pitchers, man, there's a small amount of pitchers that are hobby relevant.
