... uh, to the fact that I did mention right at the beginning of the slope that we had a ground cover of mosses.

Mosses and other bryophytes are the mosses and the liverworts.

They're the bottom, the bottom plank of the plant kingdom.

So at the bottom of the plant kingdom, we have a great diversity of mosses and liverworts and hornworts.

These are called the bryophytes.

And across much of Australia's vegetation, both in the arid zone, in the alpine region, and everything in between, and particularly when we have bogs and swamps that are occupied by Sphagnum and similar-looking, um, bryophytes, Sphagnum being a moss, we have traditionally had this, um, soil-protecting layer of cryptogamic crust or, or, um, moss mats.

Isn't your prime ministership very defined by the

EU and the United States? The point I was trying to make there was that I think, you know, I feel this as an ex-foreign secretary as well as an ex-prime minister, is, of course, you know, the EU relationship and the American relationship are absolutely crucial to Britain's future.

But that shouldn't mean you ignore some of the other partnerships you can form.

I used to find this quite frustrating in the Foreign Office.

They'd say, you've got to make choices.

And so the choices you're going to make, you're going to prioritize Europe, prioritize America.

Therefore, we must cut embassies elsewhere in the world.

And I think, I mean, how do you find the time amongst all of those pressures and stresses you're describing to to be the person, you know, to celebrate and also to grieve.

And so it becomes what the coalition is for.

No, and I think they did become convinced, and George did a great job here, they did become convinced it was the right plan.

Vince, I think, was always in a slightly different place.

But, you know, at the heart, when we launched that campaign, The spending round and when we launched the budget, it was a pretty united coalition that did that.
