Are there any indicators that it's being adopted across the healthcare landscape and that it's meaningfully improving care and affordability?
10:49
Yeah, absolutely.
10:51
You know, it seems like regularly we hear new reports of greater adoption of, I'll call it, value-based reimbursement.
11:02
But a few years ago, Sean, we kind of backed away from that narrower focus on what some people describe as value-based care.
11:13
Because it typically involves an upfront capitated sort of patient, excuse me, fee schedule, and then a set of services that are covered by that to a patient.
11:24
Now, do we offer that? Yeah.
11:27
But it's still pretty, it's not frequently used here in greater Houston.

28:17
Dr. Callender, what would you say are the biggest challenges facing Houston health care workers, and how would you grade Memorial Hermann's attempts to address them?
5:40
And a question I wanna start, uh, uh, about more or less off the top here is, so what would you consider the most memorable day or period from your career?
5:50
[laughs] You know, thank you.
5:52
I, I've never been one to think about what the highlight reel of my career would look like.
5:58
Uh, you know, again, I think mostly it's about the people, Chris.
6:02
I, I got to be part of a really great leadership team that comprised the C-suite at MD Anderson, led by John Mendelsohn.
6:12
Dr. John Mendelsohn was president at the time.
6:15
I learned so much from John, from other colleagues there, uh, now Dr. Leon Leach, PhD, and Dr. Margaret Kripke, who was one of the leading specialists in immunological, um, challenges to cancer, which obviously now has resulted in a number of new therapies through work of her and her colleagues.

18 MINS LATER

24:59
Uh, last question I wanna ask you is simply, what have you found is an underrated leadership traits, and who have you seen embody it? And that could be one person or a group of people, whatever you find, uh, most applicable.
5:37
well let's dive into that journey a little bit more here david and a question i want to start uh about more or less off the top here is that what would you consider the most memorable day or period from your career
5:51
You know, thank you.
5:53
I've never been one to think about what the highlight reel of my career would look like.

You know, again, I think mostly it's about the people, Chris.
