She has to post to do the reboot of Buffy, do you know? But it was cancelled.
2:59
Yes.
3:00
It didn't go forward.
3:02
I don't know the reasons exactly.
3:04
I mean, and what's special about her soul is that she understands storytelling through the process of going to the underworld and decay and being the rebirth, right? The reborn and the rebirth.
3:20
Like, I so identify with that.
3:22
Joseph Campbell way of thinking, storytelling, and knowing that you need to go into the cocoon in order to become a butterfly.
4:50
Why, according to you?

Mm.
12:24
Was it part of growing up around your dad and what he was doing for children's shows and children's programming?
12:30
Um, it was that kind of conduit energy that being around him and what he would do in Western New York and go out and do rock chip seven and then dialing for dollars and being around people that he interviewed through muscular dystrophy, whether it was Sammy Davis jr. Um, you know, people of stature that were like he was interviewing that were impactful, like Yul Brynner, um, you know, Jack lemon, uh, and you know, after moving to, to Philadelphia and having a in Philadelphia, uh, and seeing his growth in that and being a part of that at the time it was cap cities which is a big you know big station across the country and i kind of grew up with the the old guard like larry pollack and these guys would come and have meals you know and we'd see them you know they my dad go to the chef's restaurant you see all these people there and um it was like this this uh these this gangster of love Love mafia, I would say.
13:25
Not the bad mafia, the good mafia, right? We'd kill them with meatballs.
13:29
So for me, it was being around that energy and I did a play remember I was in Philadelphia was in fourth grade and I got up and auditioned for this in front of all the kids and I at the time I was you know just new to the area and as a kid you're trying to find yourself whether it's being bullied on the street corner especially in Philly man they don't mess around they want to scrap you out it's kind of like I'm not gonna get shiv today it wasn't that bad But it was an experience of understanding who you are deep down.
13:57
And then I auditioned for this theater at school.
14:00
And I remember the moment of being able to express myself through this energy that came out.
14:04
And it was just kind of like, oh, wow, it's just this energy of profound experience.

What's one skill from any of those roles that you've actually used in real life?
35:31
Start with Buffy.
35:32
Well, at that time, I was doing a lot of commercial work.
35:36
And I was just cutting my teeth.
35:38
And I had done a theatrical play, a Sam Shepard play called Cowboy Mouth in Hollywood.
35:45
And so I was doing bits and parts, pieces here and there.
35:48
And I literally said to myself, I really need a manager.
35:51
you know, I have an agent, I need a manager.
38:30
Yeah.
