Are you fully in the Claude camp or are you also with OpenAI? Are you with Gemini? Which AI is your preferred? And are you going to stay with basically one moving forward with the foundation of the business?

David BakerGUEST
Yeah, I think I'm going to reject the premise of the question because there are really two parts to it.

David BakerGUEST
I think one is the model, the intelligence, and the other is the harness, the tool you use to access all of that.

David BakerGUEST
So right now, if Claude went away, if we were six months ago and the Pentagon got its way and blew up Anthropic, Everything I built would be ultimately portable and I could plug it into somewhere else immediately.

But I think where, where I'm starting to articulate this more, w- we have not articulated as, as, as loudly as I'm about to right now, but I feel like, uh, everyone's afraid that AI is coming for their jobs.

David BakerGUEST
I firmly do not believe that AI is coming for anyone at Beekman's job, but someone who knows how to a- use AI is gonna come for someone who doesn't know how to use AI's job.

David BakerGUEST
And, like, if you are still there, like y- if, if you hired a finance person and they were doing spreadsheets with pen and paper like they used to do in the '50s and '60s, you'd fire that person.

David BakerGUEST
And I think, like, we are getting to the level where we have incredible tools at our disposal, and someone choosing not to use them, that, that becomes a, a, a business risk.

Jenna Manula LinaresGUEST
They're gonna want an experience that is relevant, personalized, and fast, and I just think that's gonna be the nature of it.

And what protects certain types of waste inside organizations when you're trying to figure out how to build like a lean organization and not just waste money here or there?

David BakerGUEST
Yeah, I think I almost reject the premise of the question for me, because that sounds like an organization that doesn't have a good financial grounding of thinking through the fact that if you shave a penny off of your costs, that you can make millions.

David BakerGUEST
If I could predict the exact forecasting amount and the exact bets cost of goods, I would be working on Wall Street.

David BakerGUEST
So there's always risks and it's about how you mitigate them and what bets do you believe in and are willing to take? And then how do you mitigate that? How do you hedge against that risk in the downside scenario? So for me, we very much look at the entire supply chain.

Jeremy GoldmanHOST
But how do you build the trust and transparency with a company to make them feel good about all this change and not make them think this is a plan to shrink the business footprint or anything like that?
