and i reached out to another marine veteran and a kid i went to high school with uh we both live up here in northern michigan now and i was just like we got to do something to to stop this this uh this number uh whatever it might be whether it's you know raising money and that's what it ended up becoming is we were going to do a hike um a 22 mile hike to raise money and give somewhere um there were organizations out there like um what was it what's the push-up challenge um that got real big and viral for for a little while there um reached out to them and asked them like you know do we start another thing do we give it to you guys um wounded warrior project was another one that we had gotten brought up and discussed um and the guys from 22 kill um became really really good like ambassadors for us to start our own um They said, you can give money here.

It makes more sense if you guys just get your own 501c and raise money and do what you guys are going to do with it up there.

And then you guys have more control of it and you know where the funds are going and all that stuff.

So then we looked into what that was going to take and it became building a board and That's when we found guys like Ray and put that together.

And it was originally just, yeah, that first hike was just to raise money.

We had a veteran up here who had just gone through a pretty serious life change with the loss of a wife, and he was in some medical need.
